I was recently in Tekapo and while there my partner and I took a short side trip to look at Lake Alexandrina. I was not aware that these Grebes were at the lake and I had only recently heard of them, so it was a stroke of luck that I got to see them and photograph them. I shot these photos with my 300mm lens, and even that was not long enough really to get the shots I really wanted. Maybe next time eh!
