Pride and Prejudice is the first book on my classic novel reading challenge (where I try and read 100 classic books in three years). It took me 14 hours and 4 minutes to read the book using the Libby app on my phone. I started on October 25th and picked up the book 28 times, finishing it on Friday the 14th of November.
I found it a hard read despite loving the story and the 1995 BBC mini series starring Colin Firth (as Mr Darcy) and Jennifer Ehle as Elisabeth Bennet. I’m not sure why I found it hard to get into, possibly because I knew the plot so I wanted the story to move on a bit faster perhaps? Or maybe it was because I read it on my phone rather than my Kobo. Having now also read Jane Ayre (on my Kobo), I now realise how much nicer it is to read a book on a Kobo. Perhaps I’ll give Pride and Prejudice another read if I have time.
